Point of Sale System Installation for Restaurants and Retail
A point of sale system is the one piece of technology in a restaurant or shop that stops the business dead when it fails. Nothing else on the premises has that property. Lights can flicker, the office printer can jam, but when the terminal will not take a payment on a Friday night, you are turning customers away at the door.
The software vendor supplies the application and usually configures it remotely. What nobody supplies is the physical and network layer underneath: where terminals mount so staff can actually use them, cabling that survives a wet bar top, power that does not share a circuit with the fryer, a network segment that keeps payment traffic away from the guest Wi-Fi, and a failover path so a provider outage does not stop you trading.
That layer is our work. We install and commission POS hardware for restaurants, bars, cafés and retail across the Edmonton region — working alongside whichever POS platform and payment processor you already use, rather than trying to sell you a different one.

Layout and requirements
We walk the floor with you: where staff stand, where queues form, where terminals need to be, and what the kitchen or stockroom needs to receive.
Cable, power and mount plan
Positions, cable routes, power requirements and mount types are agreed — ideally before millwork is built, because retrofitting a terminal into finished cabinetry is expensive.
Cabling and mounting
Cable run and terminated, mounts fitted, terminals and printers installed with cable managed through the mount rather than across the counter.
Network and payment setup
Terminals connected on their own segment, payment devices paired with your processor, kitchen routing configured and failover tested.
Go-live and staff walkthrough
Scheduled around your hours, with a full transaction tested end to end and your team shown what to do if something stops working.
Equipment We Support

- Counter-mounted and arm-mounted terminals, positioned and angled so staff can use them at speed without reaching across a counter.
- Payment terminals
- Customer-facing payment devices installed on fixed or articulated mounts and paired with your existing processor. We do not resell payment processing.
- Kitchen display systems and printers
- Kitchen displays and receipt printers installed and configured with routing rules, so the right ticket reaches the right station.
- Network hardware and segmentation
- Switching and access points sized for the site, with payment traffic on its own VLAN rather than sharing a flat network with guest Wi-Fi.
- UPS and cellular failover
- Battery backup on terminals and network gear, and a cellular router that takes over automatically when the primary circuit drops.
