Starlink Installation in Fort Saskatchewan and Alberta's Industrial Heartland

Fort Saskatchewan is twenty-five minutes from us along the Sherwood Park Freeway, so this is routine same-week work rather than a trip we have to justify — and a follow-up visit is not a scheduling problem.

The city itself splits into two different jobs. The older neighbourhoods nearer the river — around downtown and the original townsite — sit on North Saskatchewan River valley terrain with mature tree cover, the same kind of hidden arc-shadowing we see in St. Albert: rising ground and dense growth can block satellites low on the horizon from a yard that looks completely open at eye level. The newer subdivisions further out — Southfort, Pinehurst, Westpark, Pineview — have open sky and no terrain problem at all, but modern low-E glass and foil-backed sheathing that make the router the limiting factor long before the dish is.

Fort Saskatchewan is also the residential centre of Alberta's Industrial Heartland — one of the largest hydrocarbon processing regions in North America, with major petrochemical, fertilizer and refining plants strung along the river to the east and southeast. That makes plant-adjacent commercial work a real and distinct part of what we do here: gatehouses, site offices, construction trailers and remote monitoring stations, installed under the escorted access and safety orientation those sites require, with non-penetrating mounts and integration behind existing industrial network infrastructure rather than a residential setup dropped on a plant building.
