Starlink Installation in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County

Sherwood Park is twenty minutes from us, so this is routine same-week work rather than a trip we have to justify. That matters more than it sounds: it means we will come back to adjust something, and it means a fault does not wait a fortnight for a travel window.

The community splits into three very different installation problems. The established Park neighbourhoods — Glen Allan, Brentwood, Mills Haven — have forty-year-old spruce and poplar that comfortably exceed the rooflines, so a ridge mount frequently will not clear the northern arc and the answer is a mast or a different side of the property. The newer areas out toward Aspen Trails and Salisbury Village have open sky but the modern building envelope, so the dish is never the problem and Wi-Fi coverage always is.

Then there is Strathcona County proper: the acreage belt east and south toward Ardrossan and Josephburg, where properties sit on shelterbelted lots and the dish usually goes on a pole rather than a building. That is a different job again, with open-field wind loading and a long run back to the house.
